Olympic gold medallist cyclist Geraint Thomas has been announced as ambassador for Shelter Cymru's Castles and Cathedral 92 mile bike ride, in which he'll take part, on October 19.

Thomas, who was born in Cardiff, commented 'As a proud Welshman, it was an easy decision for me to support a charity that works so hard for people in Wales. Shelter Cymru has helped thousands of families avoid homelessness and I am keen to help them continue this essential work'.
